

One good feature it does have is Smart Reminders. It'll instead roll out at a later date, by which time people will have probably already made the decision they prefer the apps they already have. Despite the obvious requirements for a messaging app, this one doesn't come with video chat at launch. Yahoo Together just seems to come up a bit short.

And though Yahoo doesn't specifically say it, the app's similarity of design shows how much it wants to be the new Slack. While it's refreshing to see Yahoo make the attempt, it's unfortunately failing spectacularly with this one. Yahoo Together is a new offering from the once-great Internet giant, and by the looks of it, the app is attempting to compete with pretty much every other instant messaging app out there. However, Yahoo isn't content to let things lie, and they're building another one. While many reminisced of their fond memories with the client, no one bemoaned the end of its drawn out and tortured existence. Earlier this year, the Yahoo Messenger was killed off.
